Severely Corroded Reinforced Concrete Window Surround Restoration
This project involved the complete restoration of severely deteriorated reinforced concrete window surrounds. The existing concrete had developed extensive cracking and deterioration due to heavily corroded steel reinforcement beneath the surface.
As experienced specialists in concrete repairs in London, StoneRestoreX carefully removed the defective concrete to expose the affected reinforcement. The steel was mechanically cleaned back to sound metal, thoroughly prepared and treated with protective coatings before the repair was reinstated.
To provide additional reinforcement to the affected areas, stainless steel pins and reinforcement wire were incorporated before the concrete surrounds were carefully rebuilt, shaped and finished to match the existing architectural details.
This approach provides a far more comprehensive solution than simply filling cracks or covering damaged concrete. Our reinforced concrete repair work addresses the deterioration beneath the surface while restoring the appearance and integrity of the architectural feature.
The completed concrete window surround repair was then finished with a breathable exterior masonry coating to provide additional protection against weathering and moisture.

The Result
